Neighborhood Market & Café

Educational Focus Areas

Imagination, Social-Emotional, Literacy, Math, Critical Thinking, Collaboration, and Movement.

Come learn while you gather groceries, price the items as the market cashier, and create healthy meals at our deli counter with your friends and family!

The Neighborhood Market and Cafe can be enjoyed by our youngest of learners as well as older siblings and adults. Young learners can engage in hands-on sorting of grocery items and placing items into shopping carts; while others can practice turn taking skills of waiting in lines to buy items, bagging groceries and learning money skills. The exhibit also links to our outside garden where children can learn the cycle of fruits and vegetables and the science behind cooking food.
