Join us to act our favorite stories, dances and create together!

Children can enter the world of imaginative and dramatic play to create their own stories. This exhibit meets children at all ages and developmental levels to encourage pretend play, role-playing, socialization skills, language and emotional regulation. Above all else, children can have fun creating and performing on our stage with props and costumes to support their own production with this open-ended play exhibit.

Age Level

Preschool and above.


Ramp for stage accessible to walkers and/or wheelchairs, handrail for going up ramp to stage.

Playing and testing is really the best thing for finding out just what a magnet can do! In this short video from The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That!, the Cat sings a fun song about what a magnet can and can't stick to.

Extensions Activities

  • Learn how to produce and direct a production
  • Learn how to write a script for children and parents to take part in together
  • Use your favorite children’s books to theme your production
  • Learn how to add sound effects to production
  • Create and play with finger puppets (fine motor activity)
  • Encourage dressing skills with given props and costumes

  • Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays: 10 am - 2 pm
  • All General Admission Tickets are FREE of charge until January 31, 2022!

Starting January 31, 2022:

  • Daily Single Child Play Pass: $5  (1 child, with accompanying caregiver, for unlimited play and discovery*)
  • Daily Single Adult Play Pass: $5  (1 adult, accompanying a child, for unlimited play and discovery*) 
  • Daily Family Play Pass: $25
  • Bi-Annual Membership Subscription Rates coming soon!
