Bicycle-powered Train Exhibit (anticipated in Summer 2023)

Educational Focus Areas

Kinetic energy, Conservation, and Mobility

Description

Connecting learning about kinetic energy, conservation, and mobility all in one fantastic exhibit! Kids can see how the energy they produce by pedaling a stationary bike is converted into the energy needed to move the train (thermodynamics). And, of course, the train will be suspended in the vertical space of the museum for extra fun.

Age Level

3-10 years

Thanks to generous sponsorship of Duquesne Light and the Outlook Club for making this possible!
